Our Solutions
Financial aids and palliatives
We provide humanitarian aids to save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity. Most of our recent work have been focused on providing temporary relief efforts to individuals whose living conditions has been worsened due to the pandemic.
We also offer financial aid for individuals with no means to education in the form of scholarships. These are based on merit and social criteria. A fully-fledged project in this regard is currently underway.
Skill acquisition programs
Our main objective is creating a means for self-sufficiency and sustenance. We currently run several training programs which focus on building valuable skills that easily translate into livelihoods.
These include cosmetology, tailoring & clothing design, baking/pastry, hat-making/millinery, shoemaking & cordwaining, pottery, photography, jewellery design and nylon production. We are currently working on scaling up these and introducing more skilled trade/artisan programs soon.
Soft loan scheme
This is designed for individuals with some form of livelihood who require financial assistance. We created a unique system that requires no collateral and minimal interest rates. This is particularly aimed at relatively self-sufficient individuals with financial constraints that might not be able to apply for loans at banks with high-interest rates and countless requirements.
Human right advocacy
We advocate for the rights of women and girls in impoverished communities who are unfortunately victims of circumstance. These women suffer from domestic abuse, rape, gender-based violence, forced/early marriages, and other inhumane treatments due to their cultures and traditions
Our advocacy initiative employs several approaches from activism to legal aid and empowerment in helping people find their voice. We campaign for leniency in communities with certain traditions that jeopardise the well-being of women.
We see the dignity of every human being as the basis for their human rights at every stage of their lives. Each person has the right to be respected and empowered to make informed choices about their own lives.
Grants for small businesses
In line with our objective of creating prospects for economic opportunities, we provide grants for skilled traders and artisans. Being educated or skilfully trained can seem like a futile venture when there is no access to economic opportunities. These grants are limited to dexterous individuals with defined objectives looking to start a small business.
We cover everything from initial capital to equipment and other logistics involved in fleshing out a business idea. This is a life-changing opportunity and we plan on awarding more of these grants with increased funding.
Talks and seminars
We do not stop at creating access to training programs and economic opportunities, we go the extra mile. Our talk series covers a variety of practical topics aimed at building confidence in individuals and empowering them to take charge of their lives.
A lot our work actively involves advice, counsel and reassurance to individuals who understandably need this. We have ongoing seminars on self-development, financial literacy, action planning among others.
